SUMMARY:Stupid Cupid Party (ages 12 - 21)
DESCRIPTION:Our Stupid Cupid Blacklight Art Party is a night exclusively for our TF trans youth who are 12 – 21 years old! Create individual and collaborative art projects under blacklight in our art studio takeover\, with tunes\, pizza\, drinks\, and snacks. This is a drop-off party. Parents can go to nearby venues and return at 9pm to pick up your child. Please\, no siblings or guests. (See FAQs below.) Exact address of the venue will be sent to confirmed RSVPs closer to the event. \nLike all TF events\, RSVP is required. For this event\, the art studio has a maximum capacity and we will need an accurate headcount. Please RSVP only if you are committed to attending. Please RSVP early – and let us know ASAP if you are unable to attend. That will allow us to give the space we were holding for your family to another TF family. \nDue to the need for an accurate headcount required by the venue\, RSVPs will be cut off at Midnight on Sunday\, February 8. If we have exceeded our maximum headcount\, families who RSVPd after we reached our maximum will then be notified that they are on the wait list. \nFAQs\nWho needs to RSVP?\n Everyone! DO NOT arrive at the venue without a TF ticket. This ensures the privacy and safety of our families. Complete an RSVP ticket for every child attending the party and for every adult bringing them or picking them up from the venue. This ensures we know everyone involved in the event. \nCan I drop my child off at the party?\nThis is a drop-off party. Parents can go to nearby venues and return at 9pm to pick up your child. Please fill out an RSVP ticket for all adults bringing the child to the party so we know who’s dropping off and picking up the kids. \nCan cisgender (non-transgender) siblings attend?\nNo\, this party is for trans and questioning youth only. \nWill you provide childcare?\nNo\, we are not providing childcare. \nCan my child bring a friend?\nNo. If your child has a trans friend they’d like to bring\, that family must go through the Transforming Family intake process first. They can fill out the intake survey on transformingfamily.org. \nIs it free?\nYes. TF is happy to host this party\, which includes the art class\, supplies\, and snacks. However\, if you’d like to make a contribution to cover the per person fee charged by the venue\, we welcome the donation. Your donation helps TF provide the party to those who cannot donate. SUMMARY:Hearts & Crafts Valentine’s Day Party (ages 5-12)
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a super fun afternoon of painting and Valentine’s Day cupcakes in a real art studio with painting instructors! This party is for our TF pre-adolescents and their siblings (ages 5-12). Parents are welcome to socialize in the foyer or gather at the nearby coffee shop. Exact address of the venue will be sent to confirmed RSVPs closer to the event. \nLike all TF events\, RSVP is required. The art studio has a maximum capacity of approximately 40 youth\, so please RSVP only if you are committed to attending. Once we reach capacity\, we will start a wait list\, so please RSVP early and to let us know ASAP if you are unable to attend. That will allow us to give the space we were holding for your family to another TF family. \nThis is a private event for Transforming Family\, so please no friends or unexpected guests. For the HEARTS & CRAFTS party your child should be able to participate in an instructor-led class with volunteer assistance. If you bring a child younger than 5 years old\, they must be under your supervision during the entire party. \nCan my child bring a friend?\nNo. If your child has a trans friend they’d like to bring\, that family must go through the Transforming Family intake process first.
